We are proud to say that our mushroom substrates and related co-packing are all done locally, and that the overwhelming majority of our farm staff is local to the Collingwood area. We are in the process of attaining our Organic Certification and hope to have it by end of Q1 2022!
As two consumer packaged goods professionals who are mushroom foraging hobbyists, Matt & Stef felt that specialty mushrooms were under-represented in the Canadian market place and that restaurants & consumers were being under-served. So they took their professional experience and turned a hobby into a full-time business through the launch of Woodbloom Mushrooms – a 10,000 sq.ft state-of-the-art urban mushroom farm in Collingwood, Ontario. Woodbloom’s purpose is to stimulate professional and home chefs to explore all the wonderful textures, flavours and health benefits super-food fungi have to offer! We accomplish this through chef collaboration. We are not simply looking to sell mushrooms, but rather collaborate with chefs to create delicious culinary creations!
