All of their products, whether cheeses or cultured milks, are made from 100% Canadian farm fresh milk and they use live bacteria cultures. They only use pure and natural ingredients with no added chemicals, and are rennet free.
M-C Dairy has been serving customers since 1905, originating in Western Ukraine where it was one of the largest dairy manufacturers in Europe.
In the mid-1930s, Hitler had ascended to power in Germany and European markets began to close. Soon WWII began, the Nazi and Soviet Armies invaded Ukraine and M-C Dairy was forced to cease dairy production in its homeland. After the war, the directors fled West, first to Munich, Germany. But then later, a few directors including Andrew Palij, emigrated to Canada and settled in Toronto to begin a new chapter of M-C Dairy.
To this day, M-C Dairy still follows its 3 founding principles from 1905: products must be natural, products must be traditionally made, and products must be the best in market.
